Ages 16+ | Everyone Jiu Jitsu programs

BJJ All Levels

BJJ All Levels welcomes students ages 16 and up, including complete beginners, people returning to training and experienced practitioners.

About the program

You do not need to be in shape to begin.

A lot of adults put off their first Jiu-Jitsu class because they think they should get fitter first. Others worry about being the only beginner in a room full of people who already know what to do.

BJJ All Levels gives you a place to begin learning technique while getting comfortable with the pace of training. Coaches can explain the movements, and you can ask questions as you go.

Jiu-Jitsu involves physical contact and practice with partners. Knowing how to train with control and when to stop is part of being a good teammate.

What students practice

Start with the class you are ready for.

01

Positions and escapes

Build an understanding of movement, balance and the positions used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

02

Practical problem solving

Practice responding to someone who moves and reacts rather than repeating a movement alone.

03

A consistent routine

Training provides time to move, learn and spend time with people who share an interest.

Getting started

Your first class does not need to be perfect.

You might forget the names of techniques. You might need someone to show a movement twice. That is normal when starting something new.

If you are coming back after time away from exercise, let the team know before class. Choose an academy below, review its schedule and request a first class when you are ready.
